About Us

CR1 was formed by a desire to give Croydon and surrounding areas a taste of a different experience, similar to what is attainable in cities like New York, London, Lagos, Tokyo, Madrid, Paris, Istanbul etc. The name CR1 was selected to honour Croydon but also specifically to create that unique brand. Croydon had no CR1 postcode till we arrived and we’re here to stay.

We are an over 21 venue which means that, at all times from brunch to close anyone under the age of 21 will not be served food or drink within our premises. The good thing is that the years fly by and if you’re 18 today, blink 3 times and you’ll be 21! Please note a physical ID is always required when visiting the bar or restaurant.

We are a community-based venue and look to hire staff from the local area which further enhances a sense of ownership. With the community at heart, we also adhere strictly to the licensing objectives within the Licensing Act 2003. With that in mind we may ask you to leave the premises quietly or refuse you late entry. CR1 Bar & Lounge is a fun and exciting place to visit and we cannot wait to have you here.
